How To Build a Safety Co-op With RSU Part 1 Law Enforcement Law

Enforcement agencies in the State of Washington are desperately understaffed and losing morale. They have had many of their enforcement powers minimized by the state legislature and courts.

While Alternate Response Teams (ART) staffed with behavioral health first responders are in place in some jurisdictions, people exhibiting anti-social behaviors are not being held accountable for their actions.

They are often in need of treatment that is either unavailable or undesired. Communities have entered a new era where police may not be able to protect citizens' property and personal safety as they did in the past.

An RSU Neighborhood Safety program, while not a replacement for law enforcement, is a needed addition to fill this gap.
